Jamaicans get ready for 4x100m relays
EUGENE, USA–The team of Kedisha Dallas, Shimayra Williams, Chanice Bonner and Sashalee Forbes appears set to represent Jamaica in this evening’s preliminary rounds of the women’s 4x100m relays at the IAAF World Junior Championships at Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon.
The four along with 200m finalist Natalliah Whyte and Jonielle Smith were declared as the relay squad from which the final four would be selected.
With Whyte down to run the 200m finals almost two hours after the relay and with the hamstring injury that kept Smith out of the individual 100m, it is unsure if both would be risked on the relay team.
Meanwhile the men’s team could come from the squad of Jevaughn Minzie, Waseem Williams, Edward Clarke, Raheem Robinson and Raheem Chambers.
They along with Michael O’Hara were the names submitted to championships organisers but O’Hara will be contesting the men’s 200m final here and could sit out for the finals tomorrow.
