Jahnoia Christie is Dancehall Queen 2014
MONTEGO BAY, St James — Nineteen-year-old Jahnoia Christie of Glendevon in Montego Bay was crowned the 2014 International Dancehall Queen in front of a large crowd at the Pier One Entertainment Complex in the resort city last Saturday night.
Jahnoia followed in the footsteps of her sister, Keja, who won the title last year.
He prizes include $500,000 in cash, a trophy and gift baskets.
First runner-up went to Tiffany Hewitt, of Bogue, St James, while Alessandra Travenson of Italy placed third.
Thirty contestants from across the world including Jamaica, Italy, USA, Japan and China entered the competition, which was in its 18th staging.
