MCOC’s wine and cheese affair
MANDEVILLE, Manchester — Guests were encouraged to expand their business networks as they came out to sip some of the finest wines, socialise and be entertained at the Manchester Chamber of Commerce’s (MCOC’s) annual wine and cheese fundraiser at Bloomfield Great House in Mandeville on July 26.
Banker and president of the chamber Loven McCook said proceeds from the event will go towards the immediate needs of three institutions — Ebenezer Home for the Mentally Challenged, New Hope Children’s Home and D Frank Basic School.
Plans are for a washing machine to be purchased for Ebenezer Home; New Hope Children’s Home will be provided with diapers and other items; and ssistance is to be given towards administrative expenses and special projects at D Frank Basic.
Sponsors of the event, which is in its fourth year, included Sagicor Bank and Investment, Victoria Mutual Wealth Management, Jamaica Observer, ATL Automotive, Lascelles Wines & Spirit, Baking Enterprises, Caribbean Producers Jamaica Limited and Metrodade Protection.
