Tixxy hopes to make a bang
SINGER/songwriter Tixxy Bang is hoping to carve his niche with songs that will resonate with music lovers.
He is currently promoting his latest single Don’t Give Up, produced by Rickman Warren, on his Jamplified Productions label.
“I do songs that have meaning and a positive message that I think most people can relate to — young and old,” he said.
According to Tixxy Bang, Don’t Give Up offers encouragement for those who might feel like “throwing in the towel”.
“It is digitally distributed across the world by Hapilos Music Group,” he told the Jamaica Observer.
For Tixxy Bang, he is all about culture and doing “feel good songs”.
Now based between the UK and Jamaica, Tixxy Bang said he likes to spend as much time in both places as he can due to family ties.
“Wherever I am, I try to do my music,” he said.
Given name Marlon Rhule, Tixxy Bang hails from the community of Lluidas Vale in St Catherine.
The 30-year-old, who took up music professionally six years ago, said the business is really hard to break into.
“The challenges are endless for most young up and coming artiste, but my main challenges were getting recording opportunities and getting regular airplay especially in Jamaica,” he said.
He has recorded Give Jah Jah Praise, Strong Man, Poor People Bawling, Family Feud, and Love A Surround Me.
