Tasmin the visual artist
My artistic focus was negotiating female subjectivity and representation within the surrealist practices. During my art education I was particularly fascinated by self-portraiture in terms of the psychology of feminine self-identity, spectatorship and narcissism in works I created and also by Frida Kahlo. I think my interest in female representation has a lot to do with my obsession with fashion and fashion photography.
