It is not often that nearly all the exotic wagers at Caymanas Park are the beneficiaries of much coveted carryovers. Such though is the case as race fans prepare to conquer 11 tough races which are devoid of any cup race.

Leading the enticement factor is the now very popular and much sought after Pick-6 bets. Main attraction of the two Pick-6 wagers is the relatively new Twilight 6, which has a whopping carryover of $3,303,119.62. Sales in the Twilight 6 which is always the second of the Pick-6’s on any given raceday, soared to over $3 million on Saturday last with no punter able to correctly choose the winners for the six races offering the wager, hence the now massive carryover.

Many of those who bought the Twilight 6 on Saturday were derailed when rank outsider Amicable after being defeated by Hologram Shadow was awarded the race in the stewards’ room. Amicable won at odds of 47-1. The 15-1 win by Cause For Concern also played a role in putting off punters from cashing in on the Twilight 6.

Tomorrow one can expect a flurry of betting flowing through the tote board as punters seek what is expected to be a possible $5 of $6 million pay-out. Noticeable too is that the carryover for the Sunrise 6, the usual precursor to the Twilight 6 stands at $750,000. The Pick-4 wager has a carryover of just over $470,000.

The longer running and once immensely popular Pick-9 wager also has a tempting carryover of $1.19 million.
