A tribute to Miss Lou
Had she been alive, cultural icon Louise Bennett Coverley, more popularly known as Miss Lou, would have celebrated her 96th birthday last Sunday, September 7.
As it has done for a number of years sincer her passing, the Jamaica Cultural Development Commission observed her birthday with a tribute inside the venue named in her honour, the Louise Bennett Garden Theatre in St Andrew.
Miss Lou died in Canada in 2006.
