Scotia gives back
As part of its 125th Anniversary Random Act of Kindness Series Scotiabank representatives paid a surprise visit to Port Antonio Hospital in Portland to present wheelchairs to patients.
Random Acts of Kindness is an initiative that spreads the Scotiabank celebration to Jamaicans across the island. So far the following activities have taken place: Scotiabank spent $125,000 treating customers to Devon House Ice-cream last month, 800 commuters got free rides to their destinations from Half Way Tree Bus Terminal and 500 commuters got free rides to their destinations around Montego Bay.
Here Manager Port Antonio Bank of Nova Scotia Norman Scott (right) test out one of the wheelchairs as he makes the presentation to Sister Lelete Holson-Patterson. Sharing in the moment is acting Parish Manager Portland Health Service Rose-Marie Taylor (standing).
