EEZY Breezy for Micah Shemaiah
ENCOURAGED by the ‘great vibes’ he experienced on a recent trip to Europe, roots singer Micah Shemaiah is looking to maintain the momentum by releasing new songs and a
second album.
EEZY Breezy with singjay Exile Di Brave is the name of Shemaiah’s latest project which is a follow-up to Reggae Rockit.
It is also the lead single from his second album, scheduled for release later this year or in early 2015. Like Reggae Rockit and Dread at The Control, EEZY Breezy will be available on vinyl only.
Though pleased with the response to his performances at Rototom Sunsplash, the Japhet sound sysem anniversary in Germany, the Slovakia Uprising Reggae Festival, and Reggaelawsky in Poland, the 33-year-old Shemaiah is not overwhemed.
“Is just a fulfillment of the works. In terms of building on it, I don’t think about those things,” he said. “I work hard to make good music, to live the words I sing and that’s it for me.”
Shemaiah was among a group of new wave roots-reggae artistes who performed on some of Europe’s major summer festivals, including the week-long Rototom event in Benicassim, Spain.
Infinite, Kabaka Pyramid, Jessie Royal, Jah9, and Chronixx were also part of that contingent.
