MATTHIAS Wissmann, president of the VDA, presented the 2014 German Commercial Vehicles Prize to Dr Eckhard Scholz, Chairman of the Board of Management of Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles on Friday, 26 September at the IAA.

Over a weekend of tests once every two years, manual trade professionals and business owners from the most diverse of sectors put comparable commercial vehicles through in-depth testing and evaluation. And what the Volkswagen Caddy and Transporter accomplished in the past, their robust brother has now achieved as well. The prestigious German Commercial Vehicles Prize has been awarded for the next two years to the Volkswagen Amarok.

“We are delighted that one of our products has again won this award. The fact that it is effectively awarded by manual trade professional themselves makes us even prouder still. That shows us, after all, that the people who work day in, day out with a pick-up see the Amarok as the ideal tool for their trade,” said Dr Eckhard Scholz.
