VIDEO: Kingston Bridal Week Expo — A Hit For Brides-To-Be

VOWS

The 2014 Kingston Bridal Week (KBW) Expo held at Hope Gardens last Sunday, the culmination of a five-part bride-focused event, attracted a bustling crowd of brides and grooms-to-be, respective family members and friends, all eager to explore the offerings inside the booths of over 70 exhibitors and vendors.

KBW and its associates, Jamaica National, Tai Flora and Print 24/7, transformed the landmark’s historic entrance into a veritable enchanted forest with white-top tents and booths dotting the area — the perfect setting for future brides with notebook in hand to seek and find inspiration for their special day. There was certainly lots to mull over — from live make-up demonstrations to the latest in catering, offering savoury to sweet — there was something for even the most discerning brides-to-be.

The fashion shows, of which there were two, featured local and international designs and focused the brides-to-be on their wedding trousseau — from lingerie to swimwear. Naturally, there were wedding gowns in abundance and tuxedos for the groom. Mikalani, Desireable Demeanor, Petals and Promises, Earls Fashion, Leanne Designs and Amelia Morgandy were some of the featured designers.

Giveaways and competitions kept the audience engaged in between the shows.

The expo’s biggest winners were Sean Allen and Tiffany Bennett who copped the ultimate prize — My Big Fabulous Wedding. A combination gift from all of the exhibitors, My Big Fabulous Wedding gifts a full package of free or discounted wedding services including tent rental, make-up, wedding invitations, and a photography package
