What You Need:
* Base coat (any colour of your choice)
* A piece of lace large enough to cover however many nails you are lacing
* Top coat (clear nail polish)
* Small nail scissors
* Toothpick
Instructions:
1. Choose lace from a spool (ideally from a trim or ribbon so the fabric is already thinner and more nail-friendly).
2. Measure the lace and cut it to fit whatever section of the fingernail you are lacing.
3. Apply nail polish as the base coat and let dry. The most simple and stylish colour is a blush/nude tone, or light grey shade to make the lace really stand out, but it can look pretty with a bold colour as well.
4. Apply top coat, and while the nail polish is still wet, immediately and carefully place the lace on your nail so it dries with the polish. . Don’t worry if it seems a little long for your nail; you can always trim the strip down later.
5. Use a toothpick to arrange the lace, and then press it firmly onto the lace so it is secured on the nail.
6. Apply three sets of top coat to seal the polish and help the lace set. This is so there is a thick layer of a glossy finish on top of the lace.
