KIG adds Jeep to its line-up
ADDING the brand to its line-up two weeks ago, the Spanish Town Road-based Kingston Industrial Garage (KIG) rolled out its full complement of Jeep vehicles at the ADA Motor Show at the National Arena, St Andrew, last weekend.
“The response from the crowd at the show was tremendous. The brand’s standing in the 4×4 segment is legendary,” Judith Denton, KIG sales and marketing Manager, told Auto.
KIG — the oldest dealership in Jamaica, having opened its doors in 1908 — had both the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited and the Grand Cherokee at their ADA booth, after unveiling them both a fortnight ago at the recent MoDA – the Collection Fashion Show.
Having the Jeep brand at KIG marks two firsts: it is the first time right-hand-drive models are available in the island, and KIG is the first authorised dealer for Jeep.
The line-up will be joined soon by the Cherokee and Compass and in 2015, the all-new Renegade.
Jeep is an American brand and the oldest off-road vehicle, having started in 1941.
In addition to Jeep, KIG is the authorised dealer for Ford, Subaru and Yamaha motorcycles in Jamaica.
