Skunk Nation takes a stance
KINGSTON-BASED car club Skunk Nation will once again hold its annual charity event, Stancing for the Kidz, at the Mary Brown’s Corner Texaco Gas Station in St Andrew on Saturday night.
The event is geared at raising funds to provide gifts for the wards at Maxfield Park Children’s Home in St Andrew.
“We’ll have sick whips and chicks, to provide the all-important import tuner vibes expected from Skunk Nation,” Nick Lue, co-founder of Skunk Nation, told Auto.
The event, held last December at the Manor Park Total Gas Station, will take over the Mary Brown station with the best-modified import machines out of the Skunk Nation stable on display.
Other local clubs are invited and are expected to be in attendance.
Lue said he is hoping to surpass last year’s donations.
“Last year, we got over 500 gifts and $50,000 in monetary contributions. This year we’d like to double that,” he said.
Stancing for the Kidz will also serve as a memorial for recently deceased Skunk Nation member Nicholi Graham.
