JAJ Signs MOU
More than 200 students from nine schools across the island are benefitting from an agreement signed between Junior Achievement Jamaica (JAJ) and JN Fund Managers at the Altamont Court Hotel in New Kingston, on Friday, December 12.
Ardenne, Herbert Morrison Technical, Holmwood Technical, Kingston College, St George’s College, St Hugh’s and Vere Technical are among the schools which will benefit. They will coached in business operations by JNFM this year, under the agreement, and the company will also provide each student team with tablet computers to help them organise their operations.
Junior Achievement Jamaica provides entrepreneurial, financial literacy and workforce readiness skills which are essential for young Jamaicans entering the working world.
A major part of its activities involves students from 46 schools across the island, participating in the Junior Achievement Company of Entrepreneurs (JACE) programme.
Under the JACE initiative, in which JN Fund Managers is involved, students get with six-months of practical experience in the fundamentals of business operations with support provided by private sector volunteers.
