‘All White’ is alright
KINGSTON may be filled with New Year’s party options, but one enterprising group from Portmore, St Catherine, hopes to tap into that scene with their first ever All White Pool Party, held on December 31, in Passage Fort.
“We noticed persons were having the same boring type of parties and we wanted to be different from the others,” Cheryl Young, co-organiser, told the Jamaica Observer.
The thought of a pool party in the middle of a chilly Christmas night might not sound intuitive, but after dancing up a sweat to the juggling of Mighty1, patrons were happy to cool down.
“The party was great. We got a good amount of persons out for the New Year’s celebration,” Young said.
Its successful staging means that next New Year’s Eve, All White Pool Party will return bigger and better.
