Fans put Kaci in 2nd place on Facebook FanPage after prelim
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Jamaica’s Kaci Fennell, the 22-year-old gunning for the nation’s first Miss Universe title, has captured international hearts, finishing second on the Miss Universe Poll FanPage table, following the pageant’s preliminary competition Wednesday evening.
Kaci graced the stage of the FIU Arena three times, parading in her swimwear, the national costume and evening gown. Fans worldwide helped her into second spot by voting through liking and sharing her photo on social media network Facebook, racking up the points.
She finished behind Miss Universe Spain, Desiree Cordero — who scored 9.276 out of 10 for the evening gown and 9.312 for swimwear — scoring 9.098 for her evening gown and 9.28 for swimwear. Third was Miss Universe Ecuador, Alenjandro Argudo, polling 9.16 and 9.21 in evening gown and swimwear, respectively.
The 63rd staging of the Miss Universe Pageant takes place on Sunday, January 25 in Doral-Miami, Florida.
