Veteran Reggae Performer Johnny Clarke rocks Jazz and Blues
FLORENCE HALL, Trelawny- Veteran reggae performer Johhny Clarke closed off the tribute to recently deceased reggae icon John Holt with an admirable performance at Jamaica Jazz and Blues Festival being held now at the Trelawny stadium.
The seasoned crooner reeled off hit after hit, including ‘Rock With Me Baby’, ‘Move Out a Babylon’, ‘None Shall Escape the Judgement’, ‘African People’, among others.
He performed John Holt’s Take My Hands to close off his set.
He has made way for final act, Calypsonian, Oscar B.
The three-day festival will feature headliner Mariah Carey, The Pointer Sisters, Magic, Peter Cetera, R&B soul icon Charlie Wilson, North American based Reggae band Soja and Bajan saxophonist Arturo Tappin, Jamaican roots-reggae group Morgan Heritage and reggae singer Richie Stephens, among others.
