Fifty Shades of Blush

Under The Dryer

February 21

The Optimist Club of North St. Andrew invited patrons to a Grand Valentine Premiere of the movie: Fifty Shades of Grey last Thursday at Palace Amusement’s Carib 5 cinema. Beauty guru Racquel Jenkins Moss-Solomon, proprietor of Racquel J Make-Up Studio in partnering with the club, set up shop at the premiere to recreate two looks from the cast members. Unless you’ve been hiding under a rock for the past four years or just don’t care much for the novel, you understand and appreciate the fanfare associated with the Fifty Shades of Grey debut in June 2011. The novel took on a life of it’s own, forcing author E L James to provide sequels: Fifty Shades Darker and Fifty Shades Freed.

Here’s how Racquel Jenkins Moss-Solomon transformed two lucky patrons into Fifty Shades of Grey cast members:

Breanda Weathers

Steps for Sultry & Sexy

Eyes

1 Cleanse the skin to remove excessive dirt and oils

2 Prime the eyes to avoid creasing

3 Contour the shape of the eyes

4 Turn up the glam with a shade of eyeshadow from the Eve Pearl Violet/Purple eyeshaow palette.

5 Blend eye shadows to create a smoky finish

6 Apply a slightly winged streak of black liquid liner to the lids.

4 Outline the brows with an Eve Pearl HD concealer to highlight brow points.

5 Blend concealer with the eye and brow outlines

6 Apply Eve Pearl’s rose tone crème blush

7 Apply Eve Pearl’s pressed powder to give a matte finish

8 Contour cheeks with a rose blush two shades darker

9 Fill in eyebrows with additional colour for definition

10 Apply Ben Nye Luxury Banana Powder for highlights

11 An application of Eve Pearl High Definition Dual Pressed Powder is used to contour the bridge of the nose and seal the foundation.
