Shifta to release EP
DEEJAY Shifta is working on EP with Japanese pop singer Che’Nelle.
The duo decided to do an EP following the success of their song Do You Wanna, which was released last year. It topped the US ITunes Reggae Chart in January.
A remix of Do You Wanna is also on the cards, as well as a summer tour of Japan by Shifta.
The EP is being produced by Timeless Records whose CEO, Rasheed Ali, told this column that breaking Shifta in the Asian market is priority.
“Japan is a key market based on the popularity of the Do You Wanna single. We already have over five major stops [in Japan] confirmed,” he said.
Shifta, who resides in Miami, was recently featured on the RJR Cross Country Invasion.
