Kick Out is the name of the new mixtape from Chromatic sound system selector DJ Shantonio. The set was released earlier this month online at soundcloud.com/toniochromatic.

According to Shantonio (real name Shane Patterson), the project features hot EDM tracks, as well as dancehall tracks including a capellas.

“This is my fourth mixtape. I’ve always had a thing for EDM and I grew up listening to dancehall so I just thought putting both together would be really interesting and creative. The possibilities seemed endless with those two genres,” Shantonio, 23, told the Jamaica Observer.

Shantonio grew up in the Hughenden area of St Andrew. He attended the Meadowbrook High School. He currently attends the University of the West Indies, Mona where he is majoring in political science.

“I’ve been a professional disc jock for about four years now. I’m very creative and this can be heard in everything I do musically whether it be music production or playing music live,” he said.
