Sam Sharpe Teachers College beat Firehouse 3-1

GRANVILLE, St James — Oakley Jackson scored twice as Sam Sharpe Teachers College beat Firehouse 3-1 at Sam Sharpe in Granville on Friday to open their account in the St James Football Association Guardian Group Division Two competition.

Jackson scored in the 22nd and 47th minutes and Kenardo Woolery in the 37th as they lead 3-0 at half-time, while Vernon Taylor scored for Firehouse SC, who had won their opening game 2-1 over Gutters FC last week.

The win saw Sam Sharpe TC join three other teams, Innercity FC, Better Tomorrow and Firehouse SC, on three points in Zone One, behind leaders Sandals Regional, who lead with four points.

Secrets Hotel, St James High and Margueritaville are on three points in Zone Two with Bogue FC and Providence FC on one point each.
