Shields ends her sabbatical
Broadcast journalist Emily Shields (formerly Crooks) is returning to journalism after the break she took following her marriage to former Deputy Commissioner of Police Mark Shields in November last year.
Last year Shields reiterated her commitment to journalism, but said she wanted a sabbatical for the purposes of focusing on her family as well as studying law.
Shields will be working for both RJR and new media house Business Access TV.
On RJR Shields will host the radio station’s long established current- affairs call-in programme Hotline on Thursdays and Fridays, while Clive Mullings will host Mondays and Tuesdays and Orville Taylor will host Wednesdays.
Meanwhile, Shields will also host a current affairs programme on Business Access TV that will focus primarily on business.
Shields, an attorney-at-law, previously worked for Nationwide News Network from its inception some 10 years ago.
