Students praise Observer CSEC workshop
MONTEGO BAY, St James — Scores of students who turned out at the Herbert Morrison Technical High School in Montego Bay for the final of several islandwide CSEC workshops organised by the Jamaica Observer, have described the day’s event as largely fulfilling.
During the Montego Bay leg of the annual workshops which were co-sponsored by Flow, Bigga and KFC, students who are enrolled in schools across western Jamaica were, among other things, given useful tips and assistance in their preparation for the upcoming external examinations.
Among those who found the workshop satisfying was Cornwall College student, Alain Tingling.
“It was helpful, innovative and showed different parts of the exam that I did not know about. It was very informative,” Tingling expressed.
Kemar Campbell, another Cornwall student, also found the annual workshop very informative.
“It was very interesting and informational because personally we learnt a lot strategies, especially in short story section of English as well as the maths segment. We were also told very effective ways on how to maximise on marks,” Campbell said.

Meanwhile, William Knibb Memorial High student Anique Falconer, said, among other things, she was able to socialise with students from other schools in western Jamaica.
“It was helpful; I actually revised a lot of stuff I did not remember. It helped me to remember everything. And I got to socialise with other students,” she expressed.
The workshops which were held in Kingston, Mandeville, Ocho Rios and Montego Bay, were free to all students who completed a registration form available in the Jamaica Observer and submitted it to any of the branch offices in Montego Bay, Ocho Rios or Mandeville or at the head office on Beechwood Avenue in Kingston.
