But Sir…

10 Classmates We’ve All Had

1 The Hustler

Covertly breaking school rules and selling some form of goods (sweets, chocolate, folder etc) this resourceful student knows how to make a buck.

2 Spurlina

The ‘far too brave’ student who’s had just a little too much of that building of the confidence. This person mouths off to the teachers, walks out and generally is very outspoken. Secretly, you admire their qualities just a bit.

3 Supligen

Probably sitting behind ‘Spurlina’, this person will be vocal whenever a person needs boosting up. ‘Give that girl a talk? Yeh man. Fight da yute deh? Yeh man. Jump off the top flight of stairs? Nuh deal wid the coward thing enuh my yute.’

4 The Hairdresser

This female has all her hair accessories in her bag, ready to be whipped out for any slight imperfection with her or anyone else’s hair.

5 Sleeping Beauty

… Or Snow White. Either way class, any and every class, is that poison apple or sewing needle. Often found head on desk, red-eyed, smacked by the teacher.

6 Undercover nerd

This person is ready for all the wildness at school. You never see them with a book, and they were probably the ones being boosted to jump from the top flight. But when grades come around, best believe they’re near the top.

7 Undercover ‘cruff’

Seems like a smart, put together individual… well-groomed, seems a book-worm. But then you get to know them and they’re a terrible influence on you. No work gets done.

8 The Dreamer

This dewy-eyed, airy person is probably great at art or music etc., walks around with glazed eyes and a smile and probably seems bothered by nothing. They also got that joke five minutes late, and have no idea that an assignment just got handed out.

9 But Sir…

Every sentence begins with ‘but sir/miss…’ – the person who delights in arguing with the teacher about EVERY little thing. They’re also probably the reason why you haven’t finished that topic because the teacher spent 15 minutes on a minor point of contention with them.

10 Taylor Swift

Hopeless romantic, dated too many of your friends/other people to remember… and you know exactly how each ended.
