No injuries after JUTC bus catches fire in Duhaney Park
ST ANDREW, Jamaica – OBSERVER ONLINE today received reports of a Jamaica Urban Transit Company (JUTC) bus that was seen ablaze in Cooreville Gardens, Duhaney Park, St Andrew.
Although Marketing and Communications Manager at JUTC Clinton Clarke was unable to give a full report when contacted, he confirmed the incident.
He told OBSERVER ONLINE Wednesday that no one was injured in the blaze.
Clarke said the last passenger had already disembarked the bus before it caught fire, and that only the driver was onboard at the time.
The driver was reportedly notified by a pedestrian, who shouted “driver fire”.
Clarke said officials are now at the scene of the incident.
