Motorist held with J$3m worth of cocaine

KINGSTON, Jamaica – Police from the Narcotics Division arrested one man following a cocaine seizure in Sundown Crescent, Kingston 10, on Saturday.

Reports are that the team of officers was on an operation in the area when the driver of a Honda motor car was signalled to stop.

The motor vehicle and its occupant were searched and two parcels of cocaine reportedly found.

The illicit drug, which has an estimated street value of J$3 million, and the vehicle were seized.

The police say the identity of the man taken into custody is being withheld pending further investigations.
