VIDEO: JDF provides enquiry with video of captured Dudus

KINGSTON, Jamaica — The Jamaica Defence Force (JDF) on Thursday entered into evidence at the Tivoli Enquiry this video showning Christopher ‘Dudus’ Coke sitting in a holding area at Up Park Camp, the JDF headquarters in Kingston.

Coke, who is seen sitting on a bed, remains silent as two JDF soldiers converse about securing the facility.

“I just want to know where these vents lead to,” one of the soldiers is heard saying. “Have this secured as well, these glasses are loose. In fact, have them secured,” he added.

The one-time Tivoli Gardens strongman is then heard in the video saying, “Remember enuh squaddie, I mean, I just turn in myself enuh so mi naah go try fi escape enuh, now that me in custody. …I give up myself.”

He was then assured by one of the soldiers that he should not take offence to the measures they were taking to secure the place as they were to ensure his safety.

“We’re just trying to ensure that things are safe as well, okay? So please don’t take offence, we are just trying to make sure things are okay… that’s the reason why,” the soldier explained.

Coke is then heard asking when he would be able to speak with his attorney.

“I need to know how soon I can talk to mi lawyer or something like that,” he said.

The soldier replied: “That’s in the process, it’s being sorted…”
