Brimstone says ‘Farin Nuh Easy’
MANY Jamaicans have a rosy image of life overseas, especially in North America. But deejay Brimstone tries to set the record straight on Farin Nuh Easy, his latest song.
Produced by Andrew Watson for the WaveStorm Entertainment label, Farin Nuh Easy was inspired by Brimstone’s trips to the United States where he saw his share of suffering.
Since recording the song, he has been on an aggressive campaign to get mainstream attention.
“Over the last few weeks I’ve been doing a lot of radio and TV interviews. I’ve also been very busy promoting it in the streets as well, so far I have given away over 2000 promotional CDs.”
The 41-year-old hails from St Elizabeth and has been recording since the mid-1990s. Bob Marley My Hero and I Call on Your Name are two of his previous songs.
Brimstone is working on a video for Farin Nuh Easy.
“We’ve shot several scenes already and are going to shoot a few more scenes this week. If everything goes as planned, the video should be out by the middle of July,” he said.
