Rash-on Fashion
Hey trendy teens, it might be a little early but I am already contemplating what to wear on the first day of school. I remember last year when i was about to start university, how confused I was about what to both buy and bring. After a year, I have learnt a few things about being both fashionable and studious.
For all you fashionistas who will finally be saying ‘goodbye’ to the worn out pleats and gores of high school, here is some advice. This is your weekly dose of Rash-On Fashion.
– The most important thing to have is everyday/school clothes, remember your purpose. Keep it simple, trendy can be understated too. Find comfortable clothes such as tees, tanks and camisoles, even a few pretty blouses. You can also add a cute casual jumpsuit to the mix. Never forget your classic denims, get denim jeans that don’t take center stage. If you have a budget like mine you will be wearing them for quite a while.
– It is also important to have business attire. Regardless of your major, presentations are a must, and we all know appearance is everything. So buy a few richly coloured powerful jackets and pencil skirts. Look your best, you might even gain a few marks.
– All work and no play can make Jill quite overwhelmed, so I’m sure you will be going out. Ensure you so have some cute dressy outfits. Never mix your everyday school clothes with this set (unless it’s your birthday). when going to the club or to dinner, pull something new and ‘uber’ gorgeous from your closet. Dazzle everyone.
– Everyone knows having cute heels are important, but for school stick to something more comfortable. Get a few pairs of trendy flats and flirty sandals, even sneakers if that’s your style. Ensure comfort is first, treading from class to class in stilettos can’t be wise.
– And finally, shop around for a cute bag that suits your style. Ensure that it is sturdy, as textbooks weigh a ton. I have my eyes set on a blush patent leather knapsack for myself, but whatever style suits you is good enough.
You are starting a new chapter of your life and it will be challenging, especially if you don’t know what to wear! But embrace it and remember every day is a fashion show, and the world is your runway.
