Feeling the gospel in Black River
OVER 2,000 gospel music lovers were at Station Alley in Black River, St Elizabeth on August 1, for the third Gospel On The River show.
They saw strong performances from Jermaine Edwards, Kevin Downswell, Judith Gayle, Goddy Goddy, Michelle T, the Katalys Crew and Sister Pat.
Like previous years, the event was a fund-raiser for the Black River Hospital.
“All our artistes far exceeded our expectations. There was love and passion in every performance and patrons were well entertained,” said Carlton Brown, the show’s organiser.
Brown told the Jamaica Observer that funds from Gospel On The River will be used to purchase an arterial blood gas machine for the hospital.
