Lisa Hyper returns to court on assault rap today
KINGSTON, Jamaica – Popular female deejay Lisa Hyper is scheduled to appear in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate’s Court today on charges of disorderly conduct and common assault.
It is alleged the 26-year-old dancehall artiste assaulted a woman during an altercation in Stony Hill Square, St Andrew, on June 2. She was, however, slapped with an additional charge due to her alleged bad behaviour while at the Stony Hill Police Station.
Lisa Hyper (given name Felicia Gooden) had not entered a plea when she appeared in court on June 25. Her bail was also extended by Magistrate Maxine Ellis.
A former member of Vybz Kartel’s Portmore Empire, Lisa Hyper is known for songs including Bills, Must Get Mine and Nuh Stress Mi Out.
