Pia Mia Perez does it again
LET’S Do it Again, a 2010 song by American reggae rapper J-Boog, has been sampled for Do it Again, the hit single from Pia Mia Perez.
Do it Again — which features Chris Brown and rapper Tyga — is the lead single from the singer/model’s upcoming debut album on Interscope Records.
The single peaked at number 77 on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles Chart, number 19 on that publication’s Rhythmic Songs Chart, and number 18 on its Twitter Tracks table.
In New Zealand, the song has been certified gold for sales of over 10,000 copies.
Let’s Do It Again was recorded in Jamaica and produced by Donovan ‘Don Corleon’ Bennett.
According to reports, Pia Mia, who is from Guam, saw J-Boog perform it in concert two years ago. She recorded Do It Again the following year.
The California-born J-Boog, who lives in Hawaii, is a regular on Billboard’s Reggae Album and Heatseekers charts.
He has collaborated with Tarrus Riley, Richie Spice and Gramps Morgan. In 2012, he won Best New Entertainer at the International Reggae and World Music Awards (IRAWMA).
