Live-stream party coming to Jamaica
THE Internet has revolutionised communication and the party experience in Jamaica is catching up.
Smirnoff is redefining Jamaica’s entertainment scene with the first-ever live-stream party, Smirnoff Mixify, on Friday August 21.
The event will feature EDM DJ Tommy Trash, who will be playing mixes while streaming live from Los Angeles. Five other countries will also be taking part in the live streaming. The live viewing in Jamaica will be held at Ribbiz Ultra Lounge, Regency Bar, and Margaritaville, Ocho Rios.
“This is going to be an experience of a lifetime. This is something new that has never been seen before in Jamaica and we are going to make the most of it. We are looking forward to take the experience of Smirnoff to the next level, and with this upcoming event I believe we will be able to do just that,” said Nasha Douglas, Smirnoff brand manager.
Tommy Trash is a world- renowned EDM DJ who began getting heavy rotation and greater exposure in 2011 with one of his biggest track The End.
This track opened new doors for him as he was quickly recognised by high-profile DJs such as Tiesto, David Guetta, Swedish House Mafia, Afrojack and Laidback Luke, who continued to push him further into international fame.
“A lot of my influences come from the earlier days of electronic music I’d say; from artists I listened to back in university and when I was clubbing in Australia — guys like Felix Da Housecat, Les Rythmes Digitales, Vitalic and others,” Trash explained.
“Smirnoff Mixify is going to be amazing,” he ended.
