Scotiabank ‘A’, General Accident in Senior League action
REIGNING champions Scotiabank ‘A’ and Open League champions General Accident will be in action in the 2015 Business House Netball Association (BHNA) Divisional Senior ‘A’/’B’ League (combined) today at the Leila Robinson Courts.
Scotiabank ‘A’ will play their second game against Bank of Jamaica (BOJ), starting at 7:00 pm, while General Accident will face Appliance Traders Limited (ATL) beginning at 5:45 pm.
The Winston Nevers-coached Scotiabank ‘A’ should easily get past BOJ as they are a much more mature and experienced aggregation.
With the likes of goal shooter Marsha Murphy-Dawkins at the helm of Scotiabank’s attack, a goal-scoring spree is expected, and with Patricia McCalla and Naudia Brown also on the frontline, the danger multiplies.
Meanwhile, Open League champions General Accident, coached by Oberon Pitterson who also plays for the team, should come out with a win against ATL, but will have to work hard despite having a number of past national representatives within their ranks, most notable former Captain Nadine Bryan.
The ATL aggregation will depend on shooters Khadisha Davis and Kera Christie to take the fight to their vaunted opponents.
In other matches, Victoria Mutual Group face MegaMart, Aeronautical Communications (AEROTEL) take Sagicor ‘B’, both starting at 5:45 pm. In a 7:00 pm showdown, Seprod Group take on Urban Development Corporation.
