#BEIJING2015: Kimberly Williams finishes 5th in Triple Jump
KINGSTON, Jamaica – Landing a jump of 14.45m in the women’s triple jump at the IAAF World Championships in Beijing, China, Jamaica’s Kimberly Williams today finished fifth with a mark that is also her season’s best.
Shanieka Thomas, the other Jamaican in the final, finished eleventh after a jump of 14.08m.
The event was won by defending champion Caterine Ibarguen of Colombia, who recorded a jump of 14.90m.
Hanna Knyazyeva-Minenko of Israel claimed the silver medal with a 14.78m jump, while Kazakhstan’s 2012 Olympic champion Olga Rypakova copped the bronze medal with 14.77m.
