Thursday Life: (TL): Why is National Baking Company partnering with CB Foods?

Terence Slater (TS): National Baking Company and CB Foods have strong commercial linkages and share a similar philosophy of providing high-quality, safe and nutritious foods for our valued consumers.

Both companies saw the opportunity to co-brand nutritious, healthy proteins with a premium baked product that when combined make delicious healthy meals that all our consumers can enjoy.

The Live Smart, Live Healthy campaign featuring National’s Premium Healthy Start bread and CB Foods’ Smart Eggs exemplifies a strong working relationship between both products that have combined resources, ideas and information to deliver value to our consumers through a number of trade activities.

TL: Why is summer such a significant time of year for both companies?

TS: Summer is a significant time for both companies as it gives us an opportunity to spend more time in the trade interacting with our consumers and customers. The insights gathered from various campaigns and retail activities are used to make improvements to existing and new products in an effort to maximise consumer satisfaction.

TL: What attracts consumers to your brands?

TS: Consumers are attracted to the nutritional benefits and versatility of our National Healthy Start bread and Smart Eggs. The products are conveniently packaged with guaranteed quality that all our consumers can enjoy any time of the day.

TL: Where can consumers find your brands?

TS: They can be found in all the major supermarkets islandwide as well as select retailers.

TL: Where can consumers find out more about your brands?

TS: Consumers can find out about our brands on the Companies’ Facebook pages (National and Smart Eggs) or interacting with our brand ambassadors at each location during the promotional period.

TL: Tell us something we might not know about your brands.

TS: National Healthy Start bread and Smart Eggs are favoured ingredients in over 20 recipes developed by chefs islandwide. Both Healthy Start and Smart eggs are rich sources of Omega 3, which contributes to good heart health and brain power.

TL: Do you have any additional news you wish to share with your customers?

TS: Consumers will be able to access the recipes created by the featured chefs in the Live Smart, Live Healthy Campaign by liking our Facebook pages. National Baking Company also has a weekly feature in the Monday and Thursday Observer entitled Your Health Matters, which features the Healthy Start product line and associated health benefits of each product. There is also the opportunity to win fabulous prizes by participating in the Live Smart, Live Healthy Video Caption Competition on National’s Facebook page.
