Aaron Chatrie fined, suspended for 10 race days
JOCKEY Aaron Chatrie has been suspended by the stewards of the Jamaica Racing Commission (JRC) for 10 race days after an inquiry held on Tuesday last for ungentlemanly conduct in the Stewards’ Room following the disqualification of his mount Woman Is Boss from first place on August 29.
Chatrie was also fined $10,000 for his ride on Bold Aviator in the eighth race on August 22, for causing interference to Lastochka in the final 200 metres.
Jockey Ruja Lahoe who rode Bimini in the sixth race on Saturday, May 21, was cautioned for the interference caused by Bimini to Flashy Mama Mia at the 200-metre marker.
Jockey Robert Halledeen who rode New Kingston in the seventh race on Saturday, August 1, had his explanation accepted for the interference caused by New Kingston to Meru and Italiano approaching the 800-metre point.
Jockey Shamaree Muir who rode Waheed Najmah in the second race on Saturday, August 22, had his explanation accepted for the interference caused by Waheed Najmaj to Tracking The Storm leaving the 1400-metre point.
