Mission Catwalk – Season five: the ‘All Stars’ edition

This epic ‘All Stars’ season welcomes back 12 of the most talented and memorable designers, to battle for the ultimate ‘All Stars’ title in season five of Mission Catwalk. Viewers are in for a treat as archrivals of unparalleled talent go head to head in this epic battle. Season five will feature top designers from Jamaica, Barbados, Trinidad and Tobago, Bahamas and Belize competing for a five million dollar (JA$5,000,000) prize package that will take their fashion business to the next level. Season five will maintain a similar format and will comprise four segments in each episode: the design challenge, the design production, the runway show, and the judging/elimination.

International retail expert, Mercedes Gonzalez has joined the Mission Catwalk team as the mentor. Mercedes Gonzalez is the president of Global Purchasing Companies, New York, representing over 80 boutiques across the United States. Gonzalez has been a buyer in the garment industry since 1988 with hands-on experience in every facet of the industry, from manufacturing to marketing.

Mission Catwalk Season Five premieres on Saturday, September 26 at 8:30 PM on TVJ

The winner of Mission Catwalk will receive $5 million in prizes:

o One Million Dollars (JA$1,000,000) funding to manufacture clothing line, courtesy of NCB

o New York Retail Trade Show participation valued at JA$800,000, courtesy of CAMPARI

o Management contract with international retail agency valued at JA$600,000

o Industrial sewing equipment valued at JA$200,000 courtesy of Singer

o Scholarship to pursue fashion/ marketing at UTech valued at JA$600,000

o Internship opportunity with an international fashion designer

o A fashion editorial feature in a regional magazine

o Photo shoot with fashion photographer for print ad campaign

o Print media advertising package valued at JA$250,000
