Hanover double murder
Fifth murder in three days
HANOVER, Jamaica — Two men were shot dead by unknown assailants early Saturday during a wake in Lucea in the parish.
The dead men have not yet been identified.
Reports are that about 4:00 am, gunmen approached a group of people at the wake in Mount Peace and opened gunfire. It is said that after the shooting subsided the men were seen suffering from gunshot wounds.
They were taken to hospital where they were pronounced dead.
No motive has been established for the killing.
On Wednesday, three men were reportedly shot dead at a shop in First Hill in the parish shortly before 11:00 pm.
