The process is simple, whether you are at a salon or if you’re a do-it-yourselfer. All that is required is your regular nail supplies and matte top coat. Matte nail polishes are available in various colours, but the matte top coat is more versatile as it transforms any other polish to the perfect matte finish.

So run out to your nail technician and request a matte finish. If she doesn’t have it, find a new one!

A tip however is to stay away from neon colours, because that can’t be cute. Stick to the fall hues of rich, dark blues, greens and reds.
