PNP National Executive Council returned
RUNAWAY BAY, St Ann — The People’s National Party National Executive Council has largely remained the same following yesterday’s meeting at the Grand Bahia Principe Hotel in this parish.
In fact, the only change to the executive was Wentsworth Skeffery, who was added to the list of deputy general secretaries, bringing the number of people holding that post to four.
Robert Pickersgill was returned as chairman with all other members returning to the positions they held previously on the executive.
In an interview following the private meeting, Pickersgill said the chairman, deputy chairman, and all candidates, were unopposed and so the selection process was smooth.
“That was done smoothly because, as it turned out, we did not have more than 11 nominees,” Pickersgill explained, pointing out that there was only one candidate for each position.
