UNICEF, Food For The Poor donate ‘One World’ balls to local entities
KINGSTON, Jamaica — The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), through a partnership with Food For The Poor (FFP), officially donated over 5,000 balls to various sporting bodies and agencies on Friday.
The presentation, which took place on the Special Olympics Jamaica multi-purpose court at the National Stadium, was possible through the One World Play Project.
Some of the beneficiaries are Special Olympics Jamaica, Juvenile Department of Correctional Services, Child Development Agency (CDA), Breds/Treasure Beach Foundation, Ballaz, Netball Jamaica, and Social Development Commission (SDC).
The balls, which are said to be indestructible, will also be distributed to schools islandwide to aid their sports development programmes.
