Wesley Henry suspended for 20 race days
The stewards of the Jamaica Racing Commission are announcing following disciplinary actions arising from inquiries held at the offices last Tuesday.
Jockey Wesley Henry, who rode Meet Justin in the fourth race on Sunday, 26th July, 2015, was suspended for 20 race days and fined $10,000.00 for failing to ride the horse on its merit in accordance with Rule 200. The suspension will take effect on Saturday, October 10.
Jockey Richard Mairs, who rode Pearlofmydreams in the second race on Saturday, September 19, had his explanation accepted for the intimidation and interference caused by Pearlofmydreams to He’s A Diamond in the vicinity of the 800-metre point.
