Trough dumping showers on the island — Met Service
KINGSTON, Jamaica — The Meteorological (Met) Service of Jamaica says a broad trough is currently across the island and the central Caribbean.
The trough is expected to remain for the next three days. As result, lingering showers are expected across sections of northern and southern parishes tonight.
The Met Service said isolated morning showers are expected tomorrow over eastern parishes while elsewhere will be partly cloudy. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected across the island in the afternoon.
At the same time, the Met Service said there is a tropical wave and frontal trough over the extreme western Caribbean.
