Holness promises Portmore a public hospital
KINGSTON, Jamaica – Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) leader Andrew Holness is on the campaign trailed and has promised to build a public hospital in Portmore if his party is returned to power.
He said a new JLP administration will ensure that Portmore gets its own public hospital.
“We can’t have a community of 300,000 people and don’t have a public hospital” he told the JLP Prosperity Live forum at the Portmore Heart Academy last night.
The opposition leader also said he will have the National Housing Trust deliver more houses, promised better pay for public servants and repeated an earlier promise to return free tuition.
