Professor Elizabeth Thomas-Hope shares a happy moment with Ambassador Stephen Vasciannie (centre) and Dr Robert Wan during the National Honours and Awards ceremony held at King’s House on National Heroes Day, October 19. All three received the Officer of Distinction award in the rank of Commander. Professor Thomas-Hope got hers for her work in “Caribbean Migration and Environmental Management”, Ambassador Vasciannie for “Outstanding Contribution to Education, Law and International Relations”, and Dr Wan, like Vasciannie a KC Old Boy, for “Outstanding Contribution in Medicine and Community Service”.
