N’Zye gives in to The Passion
N’Zye, a singjay out of Toronto, is in Jamaica promoting his EP, The Passion. Released September 1, it has seven tracks with production by Kef Entertainment and Natty Beats who also live in Canada.
In an interview with the Jamaica Observer, N’Zye said Pillow Talk and Street Life are the songs he is pushing.
“I am liking the vibe I am getting from both singles. Pillow Talk is about making a connection and communication with your partner without even talking. That is when couples have the most personal conversations…on their pillow,” he said.
N’Zye, whose given name is Machel Lewis, spent his early years on Maxfield Avenue in Kingston. He migrated to Canada in 1995 and after attending Humber College, worked at Pearson International Airport, specialising in aircraft maintenance.
“I worked in that field for little over a decade but I always loved music so that was never far from my mind. I would continue to write lyrics in my spare time,” he said.
In 2012, he released his debut single called Bend Bend followed by Me Love Har and Jamaica Nice.
Among his upcoming singles are Goodie Goodie and a collaboration with JR Reid called Love You.
