Month-long ‘Cruzing’ tour docks
SINGER Anthony Cruz recently completed a month-long promotional campaign in the United States East Coast for his EP, Cruzing.
Released in May by Tad’s International Record, Cruzing contains the pro-ganja song Pound A Day.
While in the US, Cruz performed at the Irie Jam concert in Roy Wilkins Park and Jamaica Day celebrations at Eltham High School, both in New York City in August.
At the latter, he performed alongside R Embassida, Jah Strength and Sophia Squire.
“The EP is a preview of what is to come with the album. There is even a single, a combination with Dennis Brown that we feel is going to be big,” said Cruz.
The six-song Cruzing also includes Money Worries, News For You, Another Lonely Day, and Mother & Daughter.
Born Rowan Smith in Mandeville, Cruz has been a consistent hitmaker in the dancehall for over a decade. His popular songs include Half Way Tree and Tear it Up.
