FIRST order of business for Sterling Asset Management Limited President & CEO Charles Ross on Monday was to host a group of 10 Calabar High School students for an Applaud It! luncheon at the company’s Knutsford Boulevard headquarters. It was a matter he was only too happy to make the centre of his attention.
Parcell Simpson’s The Green Space provided the floral arrangements and décor elements, and Patsy Lyn Caterers provided a scrumptious threecourse lunch.
The future leaders, chaperoned by their guidance counsellor Jennifer Jarrett, began their introductions by outlining their aspirations and their current roles in various extra-curricular clubs.
Sterling Asset Management Limited President & CEO Charles Ross was pleased to learn that he was in the midst of club presidents and treasurers, something which became a table talk topic for him and fellow old boy Everton McDonald, president of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Jamaica.
Indeed McDonald shared, “I am impressed that the students are striking a balance between the academic and extra-curricular activities to take on leadership responsibilities while in school.”
After an inspiring start to their week, the students were all given Bettoni pens similar to that of the president.
